I have avoided buying Bali pops because of the repeated info by board members of the wide variation in the strips. I was at a shop hop shop yesterday, saw a really nice card with info about how to deal with this and here is the website....

I had heard there was a method, but didn't know where I saved the link. Thanks for posting it!

I actually haven't had any problems with Bali Pops. Other strip sets sometimes, but not the Bali Pops.

Pure genius!! Bali Pops isn't the only jelly roll company to have "variations" in it's strip width. I've encountered it in all of the ones I have bought.

Thank you for this article. I just bought some more Bali Pops in preparation to take a Judy Niemeyer class. I am going to do the Bali Wedding Star pattern. This article will be a big help.

Thanks! I would not have thought of measuring from the left.

Great idea. Thanks!

I do this when sewing block pieces together. I can see instantly if I need to pay more attention to my cutting accuracy.

I wasn't able to open this site - says Color Error (whatever that means). I went to the site and clicked on a different article, and it opened without a problem, but the one on Bali Pops still came up with the error. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks - I've had a Bali Pops waiting for me. After reading all the BP problems, I decided to let it wait longer. There actually is a disclaimer right on the label about how they're cut. The information you sent sounds great.

Thanks for this info.

Alondra, I'm sorry, I don't know I just hit it again and it opened up for me. Try looking thru the site for Bali pops once you get there.

I finally got it open this morning. Have never seen that message before, so was a little confused as to what it could mean - no indication of whether it was something in the document or something about my computer. Also, I left a message on their website, and the owner sent me a copy. Wasn't that nice? I was just about to start a quilt using my Bali Pops, so that is great information to have. Thanks for your concern. :)
