Thanks for reminding me of the free projects on that site. I found another site yesterday, after going through some old magazines, www.eeschenck.com, and found some of the most beautiful patterns for free. The one I wanted was Kimberly's Garden. It uses 1930s vintage reproduction prints and it has moved to the top of my to do list.

I made the center of the free pattern called "winters dance". It was my first ever appliqué piece, and turned out much better than I expected. I am currently adding it to a quilt for a dear friend's DH, that will be called "cowboys and rednecks", because that is who and what he is..
The first picture is Robyn Pandolph's pattern, and the second is my rendition of it. |
You are right, that is one beautiful quilt. Not the kind I normally make, but very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Oh No Patty Purple. I won't be making that pattern. Way Way Way out of my capabilities. I'm hoping someone else will make it.

Oh my goodness! I hadn't been on this site in a while and I had the best time drooling over the patterns. Thanks so much. I love the Navaho Sunset pattern.
