Bernina is now making a long arm machine.
It was previewed at Houston this week. Any one see it? I saw a picture of it. It's very modern and sleek looking.

The machine does not come out until the end of the year. Where did you see a picture of it?

I can't imagine much it will be when their sewing machines are out of site.

There is one picture that I found online, that is not on a widely used social media website, if you Google, "Bernina longarm" you can see a picture of it that was projected during a conference or something. There is also a short video clip on a website that shows the machine with a reporter and rep talking about it. The rep said it was going to be released in 2014 but that was it.
I can't wait until more info comes out about it. I wouldn't say that their sewing machine prices are out of sight but I am going to guess that the price is going to probably be on par with a Gammil. I hope I am wrong! |
Here's a link to the Bernina Facebook page where a video of the machine is shown. They don't show it running, and it's not even on a frame ... just sitting there. But it's a full 24" machine.

The picture is on many quilt shop owners, especially the Bernina shops, Facebook pages that went to Market at Houston this year.

will be very curious as to what the price tag reads... I fell in love with a long arm this summer and it was about $17K I can't imagine what Bernina wants for their 24" Big Dream

Very interesting, didn't know they were coming out with a LA ... anyone find out the price ?? With Bernina's pricing, it will be the Mercedes of LA's. I guess that won't be known until the big reveal date ...

I talked to a Bernina dealer and was told the only pictures out right now are prototypes and the price will come out with the machines, there will be a 20" and a 24".
