I am wondering if anyone on the board has been
participating in the Block Central Sentimental Journey
BOM? I have been very frustrated because she is
so slow in posting the clues. I have e-mailed her
several times and never get an answer. The only
remaining clue was due Nov 21st. It is only for the
borders, which I can figure out, but it sure would be
nice to have the complete pattern. Anyone else
tried to contact her or know what is going on?
Thanks,
Marcia

I haven't been participating in this one, but I think I remember this about a previous one. When things took so long I lost interest...probably have a UFO laying around somewhere.

I agree with you - she has been extremely slow getting her patterns up. They're not the only one. There are several BOMs that I've been following that are more than 1 month late posting the patterns.

As far as I'm concerned, if they can't get them up in a timely fashion, then they shouldn't offer BOMs. I understand life gets in the way sometimes and I can even understand being a week late posting but not months on end.

I know that she was unaware of the website being down. Hopefully, she will be back soon.

ProLongarmARTQUILTER 01-05-2011 07:45 PM

Is her website down? I can bring it up with no
problem, but she hasn't posted the last clue yet.
Guess I'm confused.

But if you go to forum it says it is closed, so I think there is a problem somewhere.

LaurieE 01-06-2011 10:44 AM

I don't have a problem getting on the site or opening any of the pdf files from the previous month. I checked the other links on her website. Her forum is down for maintenance but the BOM isn't on the forum. She also hasn't posted on her blog since December 2009.

Sadiemae 01-06-2011 10:49 AM

It says it is down for maintenance, but Kim didn't know it was down. I have belonged for a few years and I think there is something definitely wrong, but that is only my opinion and noone need agree with me.

Hi Sadiemae,
Sounds like you have more info than some others. Do
you know Kim? Maybe you could find out if something
has happened with her. If there is something wrong,
I certainly understand why she hasn't been able to get
all the clues up in a timely manner. Thanks for your input.

I have some of those BOM but they are all on my hard drive, for the same reason above. I delete them if I don't care for them or for reasons above. I would not go into a quilt blindly and waste my stash and money.

I have some beautiful BOM's from the time I first started years ago. I have an entire BOM of castle, princess frog, landscape. I made it into a book it was so big, I am so glad I have it, for one day when I am in the mood ...I have some nice BOM's stored in files only....

marciacp 01-06-2011 01:20 PM

Hi Rosy,
I don't start on a year long BOM either unless I
know I will get all the clues. I was just saving
these clues in my documents. I do have some
fabric that I have had for a while that would be
great in this quilt, but I haven't started it yet,
especially when I saw that the clues weren't
coming out as promised. Like I said earlier,
I could easily figure out the borders, which is
the only clue left, but I would just like to have
the finished project all saved together. I do
understand if she has run into some kind of problem,
but it would be nice if that could be posted or if
she would answer my e-mails.

I have emailed her twice already since Christmas with no response either....Very frustrating!!

Boxer mom 01-06-2011 06:16 PM

This is the way it has been, but let me know when you get it because I will need it too. I had been waiting for 11 & 12, glad I saw your post.

nursie76 01-06-2011 06:19 PM

I have been following also, and have emailed her several times at intervals. Never have heard back, but then eventually the link opens up....hmmm, life must have gotten in the way.
