Block magazine #2

I just received an email that my second Block magazine subscription was received - I am assuming they mean the second issue - so I wonder when we will get this one. I can't wait to see what they come with next. Loved the first issue.

Looking forward to it too! My guild's stubborn old biddies pish poohed it sight unseen when I was telling them about the new magazine. Now they want to borrow mine after I let them look through it, I don't think so. They can subscribe good as I can.

I think it will be a couple weeks according to what they said on their site. They said they charge us and now printing , packaging and sending out. I am looking forward to it also.

Recently saw saw the first issue for sale in a local Babylock sewing machine shop. I was quite surprised. I have not looked at Hobby Lobby to see if it was on their shelves. I thought it was by subscription only.

My email said that my credit card had been changed and that it will be several weeks before they have the magazines packaged, labeled and ready to ship. Worth the wait IMHO. :-)

They said it is available by subscription, on their web site and in quilt shops. Of course the quilt shops have to have ordered it in advance of the printing. You can also get it digital which is good because they do not mail it out of the USA.

The levers have been pulled, the ducks lined up, the pigs are in flight, the chicks have hatched are being counted, and, Houston, problem solved baby! What we're trying to say in a very random and roundabout way is that we've finally processed your payment for this issue of the BLOCK Magazine from Missouri Star Quilt Company. Now join us in celebrating that Block is en route to your home by Riverdancing with us and Michael Flatley.
You are going to love it - we know we do! So we've processed your payment of pure, unadulterated goodness that has been melted down into paper form for your consumption and pleasure.
Unfortunately it will take a few weeks to get this magazine into your hands, now we go print it, bag it, label it, and ship it off to you, we're seriously talking a few weeks, but now that your payment is through, we'll take care of the rest!
Enjoy,

I know. I received the email as well and can't wait.

ManiacQuilter2 04-13-2014 03:12 PM

I haven't seen it at Hobby Lobby or my LQS. OH. maybe she did NOT order them since she is closing. I have an old computer so I don't venture to any video sites.

Where can I get the previous issue. I just ordered a year's subscription . Maybe they could start my subscription with the first issue .

LGJARN52 04-14-2014 04:47 AM

I walked into a quilt shop on Saturday to buy a few pieces (like I really needed more fabric), and found an issue of BLOCK on the counter.... thought I had died and gone to heaven!!! For $5.99 it was mine to take home. Yippee!!!
Jenny Doan is my hero , and may very well be the New Queen of Quilting. All hail the queen!!

I was in their shop in Hamilton, MO and they had several magazines left on the counter. You can get the first one from them. I had my first copy with me and she autographed it for me. Hope this helps.

I placed my order over a month ago and have not even received an acknowledgment. Hope I get the second issue. Would ha

OldHairTwister 04-14-2014 06:17 PM

I would call or email customer service and ask them if you can still get the first issue. When my first one arrived, it was damaged so I emailed them and they sent a replacement right out. They are very consumer friendly.

I have just downloaded the digital issue #2 to my ipad, I am in Australia and digital is fine for me. I am looking forward to the next issue, her tutorials are so easy to understand as I am not an experienced quilter, I still have so much more to learn!!

sewlovequilting 04-15-2014 01:48 AM

I love msqc! Got my email and am waiting patiently. I love their cute emails when they receive and send your order! Ditto everyone else...Jenny's a quilting hero as is everyone else on this board who advises, encourages and teaches us all! Every day I am on this board and there isn't one day I don't learn something new! Thanks to all of you quilting heros!
