I found https://www.quiltinaday.com/shoponline/notion/226610 and https://www.quiltinaday.com/shoponline/notion/226611

I did a search for bolt bag without the quotation marks, after searching the sale pages for "notions & supplies"

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

These bags are perfect for storage and/or retreats. I tried to buy and it will only take Pay Pal even tho I entered my cc #. Anyone else able to get around this?

nativetexan 06-28-2019 07:32 AM

i was thinking they were for batting on the roll. duh!

But....I've always heard not to store quilts and fabric in plastic bags because then the fabric can't breathe. Do these bags have tiny holes in them or something special that allows some air to the fabric?

I have Her zippered pouch bags and they are perfect for storing projects, website shows out of stock now

To me, a 'bolt bag' is a bag already packed with essentials ready to make a getaway from an unsafe situation.

I have never been forced to use paypal on her site. I always use my credit card. Try again, or call them. They have great customer service.

I have a lot of these bags I bought some years ago. They have become brittle like with age and the zipper pulls out of the plastic. They have served their purpose and served me well. I need new ones.

As soon as I saw your note Evelynquilts, I immediately went to QIAD site and bought the 3 for $10 package of these bolt bags. I have a few bolts of liner that I’ve been keeping in giant bags- which I don’t especially like. These bags are perfect to keep the dust bunnies that live in my house off of them! Thank you so much for letting me/us know about them.

That is called a "bug out bag" in the US!

I have a lot of the project bags and they do get stiff with age causing the zipper to pull away. I don't close the bags with the zipper if I use them for storage. I like them because I can hang instead of shelving .
