I have this machine. Bought it about 2 years ago. It is my backup for my main machine (Pfaff 7570), and also the machine I have my students learn on. I like it very much. I bought it reconditioned from Ken's Sewing in AL and paid $125 for it. I have since bought another Brother, the SQ9185, which I also like.

I've heard good things about it as far as an inexpensive machine, but wonder how long it would hold up. Has anyone read anything about radiation emanation from it? I was told there's a danger from an elderly lady - not sure what she meant.

I have the 9185 also and like it so far.
