Hello all -

I was in the clearance aisle at Wal-Mart today and saw several Brother CE5000PRW machines. Original price was $149 and it was marked down to $109. I did some research on-line and that seems to be the low price at the on-line sources. If anyone is looking for this machine check your local Wal-Mart.

Thank you for sharing this with all of us :D:D:D
I wonder if they are making room for the new models?

Thanks, that's not a bad price for a back-up machine! Or even the only one if that's the budget!

Thanks, I'll be checking it out. I have an older Pfaff and love it still, but it doesn't have the nice button hole stitch for applique...this really helps.

This would be a good one for young children wanting to learn to sew. The $39 + are all that great.

I used to work for a Brother dealer and those machines at Wal-Mart sound like a great deal, however, we were unable to order feet for them including free motion and even feed two most needed in quilting. The shank of the machine is a very small difference in size. So I hope you didn.t purchase one for quilting. They will be fine for piecing

I have a Brother that I bought at WalMart a few years back in case my very old Brother gave out. They both are going strong but I needed different feet for them & I ordered short shank ones from Nancy's Notions & they work perfect on both machines. Maybe it makes a difference on the model of the Brother. I have a cs6000i & a XR 40 for piecing. Then for quilting I have the Mega Quilter

Just alittle advise, buying a machine from places like wal-mart, if you aren't happy w/ it or have any problems you must ship it to the manufacturer not return to wal-mart. Yes talking from experience...I bought the brother sq9000, I believe that was the numbers and I keep getting this stupid error message that no matter what i do I can't seem to fix. This is now my second machine that I didn't by from a dealer, yes have a White embroidery machine that I bought off HSN years ago that just sitting here. Ya think I would learn but I am on a pretty tight budget so I keep trying .........

Have you tried taking them to a sewing machine repair shop. Usually they service any machine.
