I bought mine from Amazon for $169 dollars u.s. AsIam in Australia, with shipping and exchange at the time it came to $218au, with many extras such as extension table for quilting, hard cover, walking and darning foot. The same machine here was $699 without the above extras although post Xmas sales saw it as $399. It is light weight and so far seems to do all advertised. I have a Janome Memory Craft 6500 which I love but it is very heavy to take to classes so my little 'Brother ' will come with me from now on. Ps I did need to buy a transformer as power supply is different but still feel I had a bargain and had very prompt service from Amazon as well>

When the Accuquilt machine came out, Joanns had in on their website as retail $499.00 and on dale for 1/2 price. I wrote to them and also Accuquilt. They changed it. Joanns must think we are stupid!
