Were you able to download the pattern? The word document came back that the file was damaged and could not be repaired and the pdf file would not download for me.

Love it. Will have to try this tonight.

I did not have any trouble downloading the pattern. I can scan and PM it to you.

Made this last night and it is so cute. I think though I will make the next one a little bit bigger, even though that would mean having to use more than a fat quarter. I also noticed that for some reason the figures (pictures) did not print, will have to go back and look at file.

But this would be a very cute purse to make for little girls.

Ahh, I see, it was a separate file. I think I did pretty good for not having the pictures. But I am more likely to use a pattern if there are pictures to refer to and ensure I'm doing something right.

After 3699quilter helped me get the file (thanks again), I did a Google search and saw that "Little Birdie" had posted how to attach the magnetic snap closure.
http://littlebirdiesecrets.blogspot....to-attach.html Also in the search I found links to photos of the bag made with other fabrics.

Again sewbeeit42 - you are welcome and thanks for the link, I'll have to check it out. I was thinking it looked like a small purse but I think I will enlarge the patterns.

I made this purse from that pattern just last week for my sister for Mother's Day:

racnquilter 05-10-2010 10:20 AM

annmarie, that is so pretty...

ended up giving the first one I made to my MIL (and dang-it didn't take a pic), using the exact pattern. Felt it was too small for me and my needs. So enlarged it about inch on each side. So easy, I think it takes 1 hour tops to make. Think my next one will be even another inch larger and I will be satisfied.

Thats a lovely bag!

When I did mine I enlarged it 25% and like the size...really is an easy pattern and cute...
