I've made of denim using a cathedral window method...

My first "cathedral" bag (denim)

Another bag (denim too)

Love your bag. How easy was it to use denim and fold back that curved piece to sew down?

Hi!
There was no more difficult than usual.I used dense zig-zag stitch.

This is a simpler version of Cheryl Phillips' "Rings that Bind". I really like the look of it and I've seen lots of Japanese quilts that use this sort of quilting method. It makes it easy to quilt as you go and you have a finished quilt in no time. Many thanks for posting.

I've seen this method before however how/when do you add batting if you're making a quilt...or any other project?

Fons and Porter also had a similiar one of these circle quilts on a previous series.

Really nice! Love the bags you made :-)

I does look easy enough, but she's right, when do you add the batting?? Do you put it between the initial two circles?? How hard would that be to fold over?? :?

I, too, love denim. You just can't seem to wear it out. :-D
