I have made several of these pin cushions. They are fun to make! I use them for decorating. I have a vertical plate rack that hangs on the wall; it holds the small 4" diameter plates. I don't have plates for all holidays and/or decorating themes, i.e. patriotic, so I made a set of four of these pin cushions and they fit perfectly on this plate rack!

That is so cute! I remember a once neighbor making a bed quilt like this...charged a couple hundred for it. It was all done by hand. But then that was many years ago!

thanks! love me some cluck cluck sew

I have two of them sewn together tonight - now to stuff them. What do you put inside a pin cushion? I don't want to use something that will dull the pins/needles.
By the way, they were super easy to do - the directions were great - the hardest part was turning it (but that seems to be the case with just about anything that is small). |
I made one last night. When I see something so pretty, I just have to make one right now. The only problem I had is: one corner didn't quite cover the inside fabric. I glued it down, but probably could use a few hand stitches to pull the white in to cover it better.
