circle quilt cathedral style

this shows how to make the circles, reversible and sewn together. lovely fast way to make a quilt.
this could be a poinsettia quilt too, just change the colors. this is how i made one. i think it's easier to sew the circles together and match everything when you dont put batting all the way to the edge of the circles. hence the square in magic circle info on brandyquilts.com site.

this is not a new technique..back in the early 90's I took a Quilt class From Charlie Bement and she taught this technique. She has templates LOTS of patterns DVD's & rulers. Lots of fun!

yes i bought a small booklet of patterns from Charlie at a quilt show. but this link shows more information. I made a quilt years ago with this method. saw it done before that without batting and done in rows when being attached. different.

I like this idea, but I think I will make a table runner out of it or using the school colors and two rows make a scarf. To many ideas floating around in my head right now with this.

I've seen this before, but thanks for the detailed link and the reminder that it would be fun to do.
