color challenge

As quilters we work with color all the time but the challenge says a fair percentage of people are color deficient and even color blind.

See how you do, http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77&Lang=en

I scored a 0.

DebraK 06-28-2012 09:07 AM

lol, I don't have the patience for that.

justflyingin 06-28-2012 09:09 AM

I got a 22

dakotamaid 06-28-2012 09:30 AM

I flunked just looking at the page!! LOL!

fabrichore 06-28-2012 12:43 PM

I scored 34...ugh...

Tussymussy 06-28-2012 01:23 PM

I scored 34 too, but do have some eye problems so am very pleased with the result. Hmmm could screen resolutions and colours influence this?

deb1851 06-28-2012 04:38 PM

Guess I did alright then I got a 56, and thought that was bad

QuiltNama 06-29-2012 06:32 AM

I scored 11

Happy Linda 06-29-2012 06:54 AM

I'm afraid of the truth. Can't do it:(

Neesie 06-29-2012 07:12 AM

I can't get it to load. Maybe too many people, trying at once.

LavenderBlue 06-29-2012 07:40 AM

I scored 98! Love color, but it's still a challenge at times. :)

117becca 06-29-2012 10:09 AM

i scored a 34 - thought i had done pretty good, hmmmmm

Liz92B 06-29-2012 10:53 AM

42 - and I thought I had it all right!!

sandy l 06-29-2012 10:55 AM

I scored 68. At least I was lower than my age:D

kountrykreation 06-29-2012 11:03 AM

Scored 18, pretty neat

KLO 06-29-2012 11:53 AM

I scored a 7 but I think I am now blind from working on this!!! Apparently my weak spot was right in the middle of the lines of color. At least in my age group I did not score over 1500 which apparently someone did. I have a feeling that score came about because the person did not understand what this test was asking him/her to do. Now I have to go rest my eyes.

PS: I also wondered if personal computer screens could make a difference in the colors.

Rebecca_S 06-29-2012 02:03 PM

I got an 8, better than I thought I would do. It might help that we have a good monitor on the computer. Cool test!

bearisgray 06-29-2012 02:09 PM

I think our monitors may also affect/afflict our scores.

Okay everybody, I got a 70 and think that that is pretty darn good. Stop whining about not being perfect. My age group is 60-69 and the high # is over 1500 so I think I fall into way above average. And if you got zero, good for you. I do have a ? If your color sence is that precise do you find it easier or more difficult to choose fabric due to the fact that you do see so precisely. I think I would find it harder to match color cause there is a natural tendency for perfection. What's the scoop?
peace

JuneBillie 06-29-2012 05:44 PM

I scored a 35, so what does that mean?

This is a really good question. I scored a 0 and sometimes it drives me nuts when a fabric is half a shade off from what I want or think it should be. Sometimes I just have to settle for what there is because I can't find that one perfect shade.

kbeuchert 06-30-2012 04:12 AM

I got a 14

Silver Shrew 06-30-2012 05:59 AM

I scored a 69, but I think that was wrong. Too little delineation between colors.

GABBYABBY 06-30-2012 06:47 AM

I scored 967, is that a good number? It was a little frustrating.

whatever 06-30-2012 07:20 AM

I got a 66

Latrinka 06-30-2012 07:24 AM

Thanks for sharing!

Kitsie 06-30-2012 08:19 AM

Humpff. Thought I did well....only 34? Don't ask me to choose your fabrics! :(

Neesie 06-30-2012 08:46 AM

I want, so much, to take this test! Can't get it to open on my computer OR iPad! :(

Was hoping I could "prove" to dh that I see colors he doesn't. :p

Momo 06-30-2012 02:45 PM

Oh dear what a test. I scored 38 for my age group. No telling how old I am!

RugosaB 06-30-2012 04:26 PM

3
I always knew that is something I could do
Like if a house down the road has a new patch on its roof, even though it;s the same shingle, I can tell. I always joke that my husband sees blue, as blue, but to me, there are millions of blue
those dis[plays at hardware stores where you pick out the paint chip you want? Takes me FOREVER to decide, I see the subtle differences

suzanprincess 07-01-2012 05:49 AM

I got a 48, then retook the test and scored 19. If I could find my computer glasses I'd try it with them!

Pam H 07-01-2012 10:15 AM

I got a 20

Jennie and Me 07-01-2012 10:46 AM
