Connecting Threads Price
Connecting Threads upped the price of their house designs from $5.96 a yard to $6.96 with the latest release. I knew it was bound to happen eventually. Has anyone else noticed this?
Not til you mentioned it... :(
$6.96 is still a great buy, compared to other fabrics!
I ordered from them once and was not happy with the quality of their materials.
Their fabric has changed from what it use to be some years ago. It's much better quality now. The thread is better now too, not as linty. I like the wide backing fabric they sell and the kits are generous in fabrics.
I like the charm packs for $2.50 or under. It helps me to decide if the fabric will work for me. I have to admit, I have dozens of them. They are fun to open!
Just noticed yesterday.

I like their clearance fabric
I like their fabric a lot and I think the new price is fine for the quality you buy. They are my favorite on-line store to be honest:)
Yes, I noticed it, but they held at $5.96 for a long time. Costs of everything have gone up...wages, insurances, shipping (go check out THOSE at the USPoffice!!), raw materials...I'm please it only went up $1.00 a yard and shop their clearance section regularly.
They are my favorite on line places to buy from when i cannt find something in my local quilt shop.
I love buying from CT. I use their thread exclusively & love their kits. When I buy fabric/kits it comes from clearance...even more bang for my buck!
My DH gets me a Connecting Threads gift card at Christmas and I use it until my June birthday, when I get a new one!
I noticed it too. I have ordered from them. The fabric is ok for the money. I always buy my batting from them. They have a sale every so often and it's a good one. Some of their kits are reasonable and make up cute!

I noticed right away when I got the catalog, but generally I am very happy with the quality so I think it would be worth it esp. when compared with LQS prices. Only once did I get a fabric from CT that I didn't like the feel of. Usually it feels nice and silky to me. For sure, can't beat their clearance prices and those sampler packs for a couple bucks feed my hunger for new fabric!
I have a few quilts made from CT fabric from decades ago. The fabric is still bright and no fraying or shredding at all. CT is where I check first before buying a quilt book. Every quilt pattern in the book is shown and the book price is cheaper.
I love the sampler packs, too! It's an inexpensive way to add to my stash and preview the fabric!
