Crosshatching
I am in the process of fmq a quilt made up of blocks that each have a 'frame.'
I decided to crosshatch in the middle of each frame, and found this diagram showing how to crosshatch with no stopping, doing it all continuously: http://www.apqs.com/blog/2014/09/02/...crosshatching/ (just thought someone here might find it helpful too) |
Interesting technique!

Thanks for posting that.

Yes, I agree, interesting technique. Thanks for posting. I LOVE crosshatching. So traditional.

This seems very helpful, thanks for posting!

Thanks for posting, it makes sense once I read it but I had never thought of it being so simple.

I do something similar for all my quilting, not just crosshatching. I even use a Frixion pen to place arrows on a pattern where I think it will help me keep on a path for the longest continuous stitching line.

Nice to know Thank you.

I like small crosshatch much more then lots of swirls and feathers.

Thanks for posting this. I certainly have learned a lot from this.

WOW! Love this, could still mark it with painters tape, write the numbers on the tape!
|
I did crosshatching on a diaper stacker. Of course did the ch before putting it all together but was pleased with how it turned out!
