Very cute idea indeed. Can also use an old larger picture frame . Have someone cut a piece of board to fit and mount inside the frame and put the nails in for you if your not handy with mens tools. I'd hunt around at 2nd hand stores for one. Presently all my spools are in a box but this is definitely worth looking into. I just copied the instructions off and handed it to my son lol. thx for sharing this Tartan.

Cute idea. I love the fact that she used nails long enough to put the matching bobbin on the same nail.

Why not drill holes and use small dowels? There would be no possibility of rusted nails then.

I did something similar years ago but never thought to frame it. The frame really finishes it nicely.
