Haven't tried it. Watched the tutorial and was amazed at how nice the block looked. Might have to do that one.

Very cool!

That makes a gorgeous quilt! Thanks for posting it. I think I'll experiment with some of my batiks!

Yep, posted a picture of my first block on another thread. Starch well and handle carefully.

This morning, after watching the video, I ordered fabric to make the quilt. Thanks for the starching tip, Tartan. Actually, lately I have been starching everything, even jelly rolls, until the fabric is stiff as paper. To me, all that starch makes piecing so much easier.

Wow, I'm going to try this, this weekend. Thanks Ifstamper!

It's so pretty though I may admit to it being daunted with cuttings and following it correctly to put back together,.
I may have to follow step by step for couple blocks before I get the "aha" feeling! Lol
But would love to see others try it out and it see what transpired !

Thanks for the link. Another bucket list project, LOL

I watched the video yesterday and couldn't wait to try it. It turned out quite well..........but you are dealing with bias edges. Be careful.........................

fun to make the block. Not so much fun putting the blocks together- for me. Small hour glass secondary blocks didn't match well

I've made several now. I think it looks best with just 2 colors but that's me. Not sure how I'm going to quilt them.

I have a king sized one on the quilt frame now. It is a simple pattern and beautiful outcome. I used scraps of fabric and a white background. I well try and post a picture when it is finished.

I was impressed with her illusion quilt tho I am making mine square. I wouldn't want to deal with all those bias edges, they are NOT your friend.

I made one just recently. Haven't posted a picture of it yet but I did make one mistake, actually it was 3 but it was the same mistake 3 times. I found it fun to make and will definitely be making another one or two or who knows how many more.
