WOW I love this idea.. They sell those lights at the dollar tree.. So I think you may be able to make it cheaper there.. Definitely gonna make me one of these.. Thank you so much for sharing the idea..

That is so cool. No fussing around with cords and looks so portable. Light boxes usually cost about $50.

Genius! Makes you want to go into hardware stores (or any kind of store) and really look at things in a different way to see what other way it could be used!

That is easy!
This is tracing pad works fantastic and it's very portable, thin, and pretty. I bought it at Walmart on clearance for $10. It has LED lights and uses 3AA batteries.http://www.crayolastore.com/product_...C&kw={keyword}

I bought one from Amazon, however, I find it doesn't light very brightly all around the surface. I was a little disappointed.

Wow. Who knew....I purchase m light box several years ago. Do not have a need for it very often....but when I do it sure makes life easier. I am sure most of us. Have the exact plastic containers shown on this sight...would be worth a try I am sure. Great that you shared this.

Love the box! I have a small light box but have been frustrated trying to trace a large pattern on it. This will really solve the problem! Thanks!

It is a clever idea. and I thought putting an uplight under my glass table was a good idea. Thanks!!!!!!!!

Bassetlvr 11-16-2013 07:59 PM

I used a glass 9x13 cake pan with a lid and bought a remote control led light from Walmart. This way I don't have to open the box to turn on the lights.

I've been buying those plastic boxes at our local Walmart for $5 in the craft section endcap. Now I have another use for them! Thanks.
