My friend Chris Kirsch has a blog with great quilting tips. Today's is:
Making pictures or patterns larger and then printing them easily. She explains a few really simple steps to do this in MS Excel-yes Excel. It is very quick and works like a dream. http://clkquilt.wordpress.com/2011/0...e-big-picture/ |
Thanks for sharing.

Excel and I are not best friends, but she makes it sound easy. Thank you for the post.

This is great, thanks for sharing

this is fantastic information. i opened my Excel and followed the setup instructions. before inserting the picture, i saved my Excel spreadsheet with the name Enlarging for Quilting. this way, i don't have to set it up every time and i don't have to search for the instructions again.

Thanks for the link!

that is a great idea...definitely saved it.

It works....but how do you actually size the pattern? I can get it to page size like the directions suggest, but what if I need that patern to be 14x20, for instance? This works great and would be WONDERFUL if I/we can figure out that last detail.
Thanks for sharing a great idea. |

That is sooooo neat! Thank you for your suggestion - and I see I have another place for great wisdom - it is very nicely laid out and many helpful subjects. I am also interested in her books. Thank you.

I am so excited to see this mentioned. This morning 1st on my list was to review some calendars in a box with quilt patterns that all have to be enlarged to use. I was debating on throwing them out. I will copy this link and check the details later.
What a timely topic for me! Thank you so much. Learn something new on QB daily. Thanks, |
