Are you a reader of these books? This is the first time I've seen them. Do you know if any are available as ebooks?

If an ebook is the same as the books I get on my Kindle, they are available. I just finished one. let me go see the title....The Lost Quilter. This book was unlike the others, but I really enjoyed it, just in a different way. It follows the history of one quilt, a quilt from a runaway slave.

Thanks! Yes, an ebook is what you read on your Kindle. I just read it on my Blackberry. It's an electronic book.

That sounds interesting. I really want to read one of the Elm Creek novels too.

Project Linus is very cool. I want to go read about the challenge now. I was so intrigued by the books, I forgot to look for the challenge. :)

I have been reading them, they are wonderful!! They are available as E books as well as on CD which you should be able to get from your library.

I have every audio book to date except for "A Quilter's Holiday." I love listening to every story. When I am through listening to what I have here I will start all over again from the first book to the last book.

Jennifer Chiaverini keeps her characters and if you read the books in order, you will get to know them on a personal level (so to speak) and they will become a part of your "quilting family". They become alive.

She has a new book coming out in 2011 - "The Union Quilters".
Can't wait to listen to that one. Edie

There is Sylvia's Bridal Sampler from Elm Creek Quilts, The Quilter's Kitchen, More Elm Creek Quilts, An Elm Ceeek Quilts Album (Runaway Quilt, The Quilter's Legacy, The Master Quilter, and The Elm Creek Quilt Sampler. There are 15 novels out there now with The Union Quilters being 16 and then these quilting books, recipe book and album of the three novels.

I am just starting #6 (The Master Quilter) of the first 6 in the "series" and have really enjoyed reading them. The are just a pleasant read about the quilters and their lives. A nice change from murder mysteries or romance novels. I got mine on e-bay. Two large books that each contain 3 books in one,(if that makes sense.)

I picked up the combo novel that has all three of the first novels in one volume, but here's the cool thing!

I went to my local quilting guild meeting tonight for the first time, and they have a library. There are six of the novels in their library I can check out!! In addition, several ladies offered to lend me other books when I'm ready. Isn't that great??!!

my niece and I have been reading the series too. We are trying to read them in order, but we have had to skip a couple as we are getting them from the library and sometimes they are out. Good reads.

I would suggest that you read the Elm Creek novels in chronological order, since the underlying story line in most of them is continuing. I just think you will enjoy them more.

Thanks! I picked up the Sampler which has all three of the first novels in one. I'm on the first one, The Quilter's Apprentice. So, my plan is to read them in order. The members of my guild also suggested reading them in order. :)

okay go to:

www.fictiondb.com then in the upper right hand corner - down arrow to 'author' then type in her last name Chiaverini

then click on the little icon next to it.

Once the list comes up you can click on ''date' and that will put the list in order.

You do NOT have to register to get the list. Hope this helps. They are fun to read.

I love these books!!!! Each one is a whole new story, but somehow ties in with the others. I have the whole set so far.
