Elmer's glue pens

I was in the dollar store today and saw Elmer's glue pens. They were up by the cash register. They are about 4 or 5 inches long,a bit more than a half inch wide and have tiny holes to " draw" with. I am going on a quilt retreat next week and this will be much more convenient than carrying all those tips and big bottles. This is the washable school glue that is white and dries clear.

I may have to try these. :)

The ones that I purchased are much smaller than the one from Amazon. They are .356 oz each and there were 3 in the package . Wish I took a pic before I opened them.

In my experience anything from the dollar store is smaller! LOL. Guess that is why they can cost less. I'm going to try the amazon ones as there are a couple of other items I need and I get free shipping.

I use and love them! Here is a tip about them, if they have the larger hole tip like the one from Amazon you can pull the large tip off and refill it from your bottle, then you don't have to buy more!

Hybearn8er are they hard to squeeze, some times my hands hurt.

I bought a tube of clear glue that is for craft/scrap book use and is acid free--will be refilling it with white glue when it is empty.
Thank you for the hint.

I fill a mug with water, heat it in the microwave then put my glue bottle in to warm up. Makes it much easier and return the bottle to the mug of water between uses. When it gets too cool, just warm up the water in the microwave again!

I got smart and filled a syringe right from the glue bottle. I can put tiny drops or thin lines with no squeezing at all. It's easy to wash out the syringe when done and no messy gunked up top to mess with on the bottle.

My DH makes paper airplanes and uses a syringe with large needle ground off so it is not sharp at end. I will have to order a few next time I order vet supplies for the elmers. Thanks, had not though of that.
