EQ7 Jump Start
As I often read here there are questions about EQ7 and how it works and if it is worth to buy: perhaps this course is of some interest!
http://doyoueq.com/blog/2014/05/eq7-jump-start-block-1/ Today there is still the second part! There are many pictures and a step-by-step explanation what to do next! |
Glad you are enjoying EQ7. I have EQ5 so I am not following this blog. Rhonda on this board has also a learning post so you might check that out too.

I don't think we can use tags here. Maybe search for Electric quilt. I just saw Rhonda's post of instructs a few days ago...so don't give up. keep looking.
Here I found it http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...n-t166726.html |
Thank you for the link. I just purchased EQ for the Mac and I'm not finding it user friendly.

I've asked this before but can you just start out with EQ7 or do you have to start with what ever the first EQ is for it to work?

EQ7 is a very extensive programm, you will always discover something new! I'll show you some pictures I made last year: I was sewing the BOW "Votes for Women", then I took a foto of each block and then I could play with the program looking for example what sashing will be best! The program also gives you the measurements for each block pattern in any size you want! I like to play with it! |
I started with EQ7 -- I did not have any previous versions. There is a learning curve because EQ7 is incredibly "feature rich" so I started with the tutorials that came with the software just to get an idea of what could be done with it and am now doing the JumpStart blocks. I considered taking a formal class but decided that it would probably be too much like trying to drink out of a fire hose so I'm learning as I go. My FAVORITE feature is the ability to scan in my own fabrics so I can play with different layouts on blocks.
