EverSewn

Just an FYI - sewing machines plus has an EverSewn sparrow sewing machine, for sale $399.00. Is that a good price? Anyone have one? Like it or not? I'm ready to put my BL to the curb!

I think onebyone said she'd bought this machine and loves it.

I bought one last year. Really like it! I think the $399 is a standard price. I like the stitching more than my Viking. It's lighter than many machines if you take it to classes and the $399 model has a thread cutter, which I like when paper piecing. My research last year had a lot of very good reviews.

Leah day did a review - I'm not related to her in any way and I am not suggesting buying from her, but, she does walk us through the machine. She likes it.

The Eversewn Sparrow 30 has all the bells and whistles. Many in my guild has this one and I have never heard of any complaints. I bought one but my DD took it for her Christmas gift. She loves it. No problems at all. I will be buying another once I get through this house moving.

I was using the Sparrow 30 last night at my DDs. It's a nice machine. I don't understand why spend thousands when you can have a great machine for $400, about the tax charged on one of the expensive ones. LOL. I am thinking soon there will be a long harp Eversewn. My DD ordered the Eversewn Hero for embroidery. She said I could use it anytime. :D

I have been looking for a smaller sewing machine to take to classes and you all sound like this Sparrow is a good one to look at. Do you know who makes the Sparrow? I have a Janome 6600 and absolutely love it but it is a heavy machine to pack to classes.

Eversewn makes the Sparrow brand for Brewer. A Bernina engineer designed them. It call comes up with a Google search.

I know opinions are like elbows, we all have 'em, but do any of you consider the Sparrow noisy?

#2, are the feet low shank pop on? I have all Janome feet.

Yes, they do make a bit more noise, not a lot more than my Viking, but more.
