Fabric that blocks ID theft?
New to me, but then many things are, but anyway...just rec'd an email ad from JAF about a fabric that one can use to line purses, wallets, etc., against radio frequency that apparently reads ones cc, ID cards while in purse, pocket. Has anyone done this, how effective is it? Now, isn't this sad that we have to go to such extremes to protect what little privacy we do have.....
guess I'll buy a 1/2 yard and make a pouch for my wallet inside my purse! |
Or I've read you can just use a little tin foil to block that. Like line the inside of your billfold or whatever you carry your credit cards in. I haven't done this, myself. There are only so many things I can worry about or try to control. This isn't one of them.

You can buy a wallet that is already lined with it. The pouch is a good and easy idea. Thanks.

Please let us know what you find out about that fabric. I know I can buy things but I like personalized things and I have wanted to make a purse and would love to line it with something like this.

I bought some at a quilt show. Gal said she lines her totes with it for extra protection.
never hurts to be safe... |
I wonder how effect it can be.
