A while back we were discussing fabric strip cutters here. I just got an email today from Nancy's Notions and she is selling one there now. It resembles a paper cutter and uses a 45mm blade and it is advertised as cutting up to 4 layers of fabric. A bit spendy at $39.98 but after the sale it will be $49.98.

wow, nice but you are right, pricy!

My cousin has one of the Alto (I think) cutters that are similar to the one you showed. I tried it once, but found that it seemed to actually take me longer to cut my strips with the 'machine' than to cut them regularly. To me, I think they cost more than they save you in time or effort.

It looks very interesting, but I'm with you on the pricey thing. I'll have to put it on my "would be nice to have some day" list. :)
