Has anyone ever made these bowls? I seen the book and the bowl template at Hancocks yesterday and thought that it looked pretty easy. The template costs around $15 tio $20 I think it was. But they would make nice gifts. Have to put this one on my to do list.

I made a couple of them about 5 years ago - a class my daughter gave me when we moved to our new neighbourhood so I'd meet other quilters. They're fun and easy to do. I have the book for vases but have too many other projects that need to get done first - one day, maybe.

We use to make bowls years ago but a different way. If you go to this site you can get the old fashion directions. Before you click on to get detailed directions read about the lace and balloon directly below the first article. Too Fun! You actually can use any form you want with these directions. Also, after reading you will understand this, we use to do more then one layer of fabric. It depended on what we were going to use the bowl for and how big. I will put this in it's own links heading also incase you miss this. Have Fun!
