Fancy piping with decorative stitches
What good is a machine that will do 143 different stitches if all you do is use the straight stitch and maybe an occasional zigzag? This article from Threads magazine shows how to make fancy piping with decorative stitching on it. I've heard that some quilts have piping on them, but I've never seen it. So now if I ever see one, oooo, how fancy I can get!

You can get the same "look" on binding, it's very easy to do. I'm not very good with giving directions but I'm sure it's on Goggle somewhere.

New idea and opportunity to do something unique.

Look around here for more ideas on using piping. There are beautiful details. I might try something like this one day when I grow up. LOL!

I know for me, my machine has too much and does far more than I ever want it to! |
Yup what Quilt E said. But oh how I love those other features! I am trying to use some of the 'fancy' stuff more often tho.
