wether you wash or not, you can end up with off-grain fabric. whenever i fold, this is what i do. cut or torn, if the weave started out off-grain, you still have to straighten it out. i do it across my bed when i do long lengths.

thanks!

dflynn 03-08-2011 07:48 PM

thanks. I was just going to wash some fabric and now know how to get the fabric on grain.

Sweeterthanwine 03-08-2011 08:21 PM

I'm so glad to know this. Makes it really easy to straighten fabric before cutting.

Sorry I haven't seen the second one. I'll look back through main and see if I can find it. Thanks for sharing. I found the posting and video. I made a reversible quilt from one of her patterns a couple of years ago. I like her methods. Thanks again. Gerbie

hope this helps you.

gerbie, if you try to find it now, you'll be searching forever. the way to find something this old is to search my (or anyone's) name, click on my created posts, and then search down the list for what you want. click there.

the way to search a persons name is to click on the name right above their avatar.
