You can visit this website to view the last three years of Fireworks Challenge Quilts made for the Art Show of the Pyrotechnics Guild International Conventions.
go to: www.PGI.org
Under Conventions, click on Pictures, you can then choose from the last three years of quilts made for the challenge.
There are many other photos of grand fireworks you can see on this site also, enjoy yourself - maybe one of these photos will enspire you to make a fireworks quilt!
Only PGI members can enter the quilt challenge tho.

Just checked them out, by far 2007 got my vote for some amazing amazing jobs. I loved the one red/white/blue fireworks.. looks like something not horribly hard (I say this now) to do and would make a great wall hanging. Too bad you cant save the pic for a use me as a launching board idea .. I saved the site instead. The first two had some amazing points going in them.. TOO HARD! Beautiful.

The quilt with the black background and bright stars : blue, yellow, red, green, etc. was made by me. It really wasn't that hard as it was paper pieced. I ended up doing lots of fmq and decorative stitching in the black background areas, as there seemed to be too much black areas after I got done fmq the pieced stars. I needed more stars as the title is "Finale" afterall. Glad you liked the pics. :-D
