Foundation paper

While going to the home improvement store to finally get paint for my redo on my sewing/guest bedroom, the hubs needed to pick up some tarp paper for the hardwood floor. the plastic was ok but stuck to the bottom of his shoe because of residue from past usage. The best part about it was only about $3.50 for a roll 18"x60 yards. Thinner than I expected. I cut a piece 18"x18" then into pieces 6" square each. Got my portable 2662 out while he painted and got some scrappy strips. It was so easy to remove it wasn't funny. Will be going over to Walmart today and will look to see if they have the same thing or better. Yes you will have to cut to your own size but still somewhat a savings. IMO.

Sounds interesting. What is the commercial name of this stuff?

I bought some of this paper also because it is just plain cheap. I used mine to draw designs to pin to my quilt over. It came off very nicely and did not leave a lot of bits behind. I used a sticky roller to get the bits off. I will certainly continue to use it in my sewing room.

Okay, had to google 'tarp paper' because I had never heard of it. But the search kept pointing me to plastic drop cloths. Could you give us more info on this product please? The price is enticing.

Is it General Purpose Masking Paper? Similar to this item?:

It matches size & approximate price (I Googled tarp paper 18" by 180').

I have never seen it at Walmart but Lowes and Staples have it here. Not expensive at all.

The name I found was TRIMACO. the price is about right on Notwendy's comment.

It looks as if you can use it to cover boxes for mailing. I keep the sturdy boxes that many purchases come in, but often they have colored images on them. This paper looks sturdy enough to cover the boxes and the price is less than a roll of about a yard or two that I can sometimes find at CVS.
