the BQ patterns are here. they use 12 inch focus squares of what ever print you want to use. if it's directional, like oriental prints can be, you just have to be mindful of that when making the ones that are to be turned. I have a top done in oriental prints to finish one of these days. but never thought of four patch posies! |
jeesh, i didn't mean the DP pattern!!! I meant the BQ pattern!! sorry. I just knew i typed the title wrong. BQ is of course the pattern name (the original one that is).
anyway, i like it. it just takes 12 1/2 inch squares with strips around it to make it 18 1/2 inch blocks. then they are just turned as in the photo. |

Thank you.I must try this
|
BQ is the name of the quilt pattern in the first link done with four patch posies as the focus squares. I think it stands for Big Quilt!
the second link is where you can purchase the patterns. at mapleislandquilts.com both links posted still work for me. |
thanks!

Thanks so much for the directions. I have the BQ pattern, have made several in three different sizes. Never thought of adding sashing though or doing the stacked four patch. I saved it and will try it soon.
