I was just on fons and porters website and they have a banner to click on to enter a contest from keepsake quilting and the quilters quild and first prize is fabric for life and the second prize is fabric for a year! Could you imagine how big our stash would be after just one year! I plan on entering everyday

I never did find the banner for the contest but did find a drawing for a free book; signed up for the newsletters and got some free patterns; found an app for my phone; plus they have lots of free patterns and info to download that I will go back to and check out. Thanks a bunch. Maybe next time I visit the site, the free fabric banner will show up.

You took the words right out of my mouth, I, too, will not live long enough to use what I have.....and I've got more ordered. Ha.

Thank you for sharing. I also have more than I could ever use in a lifetime. In fact, I'm leaving in a few minutes to buy more. Seems like there's always something I don't have for a specific project. Of course that project, along with many others, are waiting to be completed.

Good point. When I organized my sewing space, I discoverd this "issue" as well. Organizing I ended up with MORE than I started with. CRAZY! :-)

If I did have more, I'd be able to donate more quilts to the nursing home - sounds good to me!

Dragonfly Nana 08-13-2011 06:58 PM

You can store it at my house
