If you have a Kindle you can download an ebook Quilts of Lancaster County for free. I'm not sure how long this offer will last:

Does anyone have a good pattern for a cover for a Kindle. I tried to make up my own, too big, didn't fit in corners. taking it apart and starting again.

I used Moda Bake shope book keeper pattern I measured my Kindle and added an inch. I used jelly roll fabric cut it in half length wise and placed it at an angle. Turned out pretty cool. Google Moda Bake shop Book keeper

For those that don't own a Kindle, there is a link (small writing)on the right side of that page that will allow you to download the kindle reader for your PC. You don't need the Kindle to read the books. Just tried it. It works.

there is a program called calibre that allows you to change ebooks to a different reader. i always redo the pdf files to a lit file for my phone. i don't like the way pdf's look on my phone. it seems to handle all formats. i probably have a 1000 books on my pc and phone cause i just don't have room in the rv for "real" books.

i found beth ann williams celtic book in ebook format too. 11.00 download. much cheaper than print.

There are several patterns for Kindle covers out there. Do a search on this board and you will find them.

Thanks for this free download link. I got it and will read it next. Then I found a bunch more free books and downloaded them ... even the Bible. Got a Kindle for Christmas and this is the first I had loaded anything on it. My DH just showed me how and I told him he created a monster!!! hehehe

nellebelles 02-09-2011 07:58 PM
