I love this method as well and would be good for a large quilt. Quilting a large quilt by machine can be very challenging.

My concern with this technique is that there is only one row of stitching holding the edges of the blocks together - I would be concerned about the stitching ripping...or doesn't that happen???

I'm gonna have to try this. So far all my quilt as you go have been little to be desired. This looks so easy. Thanks

This is indeed a risk, but I sew the blocks strong stitching together
(as the bottom of the pants ...).
