I love her dress. She was really a beautiful bride. Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting. I only wish I had the talent and dedication to do such fine work. Sew, Sew Beautiful!

Kate and her dress are beautiful.

Thank you! I'm not really done with the Royal wedding yet :D:D
She is so lovely and looked beautiful. I just saw a mag in CVS and thumbed through it. I saw a picture of Prince Harry that really looked like his Mum, Diana- first time I ever thought he resembled her. Thanks for the link! |
Kate is a very fine lady, so is her mother and I wonder if her grandmothers were the same? Middle class doesn't mean to be odd. She as well as her wedding gown were out of this world, so beautiful!

I made my DIL dress 15 years ago. It was beautiful (if I do say so). I hand-beaded and hand-stitched all the lace to the bodice, sleeves (which were sheer with lace appliques), hem and train. I used very expensive lace but only had to buy very small amounts of it because I cut it apart and designed the motifs. It probably cost about $400 to make but was well worth it. I also made her veil and headpiece (again with beaded lace). That's the hardest most challenging thing I have ever made but I was so pleased with the way it turned out. I wish I had a pic of it on my computer I could send. Maybe I'll try to find one.

OH, I would love to see a picture if you can find it, Congratulations on such a large project. I bet it looked stunning.
