Glide thread - metallic look without the hassle!
I just finished quilting a tree skirt using Glide thread in the color Dijon which looks like a bright gold. It's got a nice sheen to it, similar to Sulky Rayon thread. It's a poly thread that comes on a large cone 5000 meters (5468 yd) for about $7. There are other shades of "golds" and "silvers" such as Sand, Light Copper, Cleopatra, Military Gold, Light Gray and Sterling. If you are wanting a metallic look without the hassle, you might consider trying it. :)
I got mine at Bobbin Central. http://www.bobbincentral.com/quiltin...ead/glide.html |

thanks for the tip.

I am trying out Superior thread and have had the thread break once. Thanks for the info.

I use Glide exclusively on my quilts. I love the look & you can't beat the price.
|
will have to try it, thanks

I like Glide as well, especially the Magna-Glide bobbins. They work well in my LA.

I use Glide and magna glide bobbins when I'm machine quilting. I have the Brother 1500. It never breaks or shreds. I like the color Cleopatra for a general color. It looks great on dark or light fabrics.

Glide is my only quilting thread now-it is the best
