Thanks for the site, great prices. Too bad I just bought my thread kits, stabilizer and bobbin thread. Will probably stock up again, just because the prices are too good to pass up. You can never have too much, right?

Some thread does. I have some thread from about 10 years ago, it's faded and breaks.

I e-mailed a friend of mine that is always buying thread online.
Gave her the website and will see if she's going to put in an order. If she does, I'll just piggyback off of her. She has some things she has to ship to me anyway, so she can just add this to the collection. She usually ships me packages every 6 months. |

I use her when there is stuff I want, but I'm not in a hurry for it.
The boxes she USED to send were huge, but now with the One Rate Boxes, she'll use a couple of those and save postage. But, that also depends on the size of things she's shipping to me. She works a couple days a month in a quilt shop and for her pay, she gets fabric. Cool pay, huh? If she sees something that she thinks I'll like, she'll get me a fat quarter or yardage of it. That all goes in the box and it's like Christmas when I recieve them. Just love it! In return, I send her things from different places I go and visit, so it all works out great. |
Yep, Sondry is right, some thread does get old. I am getting a little concerned about some serger thread I have had for a while now. It is Egyptian thread so I hate to toss it but I would rather toss then sew something and have it fall apart. Anyone know how to check the thread other then by the time it is so old it just breaks? That would probably be good to know! I read somewhere to keep your thread in the freezer (moisture helps it) but gee I would have no room for anything else if I did that, and I don't even know if that is true.
