Thanks- I've never seen that method before. I am making some bandanas for my BIL for Christmas & this looks like it would be a nice finish on them.

I had never seen this way either and thought it was a very easy way to make such a professional looking corner!

I'll use this method to make napkins. I, too, prefer the feel of 100% cotton and don't mind ironing them at all.

This is the way I do all my "fold backing to the front" quilts. I have been doing this as long as I have been quilting, about 5 years. And before that I did a lot of home dec sewing, so to me this is not a new way of mitering. What is really nice on the napkins is to use a wing needle and a fancy stitch to stitch down the hem. When I do this on my quilts I use the blanket stitch to make a nice secure hem.

Thanks! I will have to try it!

Thank you so much for posting this! I knew there was an easier way to do mitered corners and I could not figure it out and this is what I was trying to remember. Thanks again you saved the day!

I was glad I found it! And I am glad I could help some one else out!!

I've tried this twice and I've done it wrong twice :( Bet you didn't know there were more ways to do it wrong than right...

Hopefully I can follow this tute and get it right!
