Handy Tool for Paper Piecing
I came across this Power Clipper almost 30 years ago when I began paper piecing and found it a wonderful tool for holding several layers of paper firmly together when cutting templates. I've Googled and find it is also named Smart Clipper today. This tool can be used for holding fabrics together for cutting small pieces but care needs to be taken to avoid stretching or tearing fabric. I'm about to start the Millefiori Passacaglia quilt and am using my old power clipper to cut the paper templates.

Can you post a picture? When I google Power Clipper or Smart Clipper I get all kinds of nail
or hair clippers. |

I've just found a Youtube video on using the power clipper. Also attached is a photo of a modern power clipper |
I have one from Martelli. Great tip for paper piecing. Thanks.

Darn, I just donated that whole set to goodwill. I wasn't using it, it was just too much trouble. I bought it to do binding.....

I wonder if Clover clips would work. I usually staple thru the layers in an area I am not going to be using.

First time I ever heard of it. HMMM!!!!

I have a set of the Martelli clips, never thought to use them for paper piecing. Thanks. I don't use them at all since I found Wonder Clips.
