He also has some of the pieces needed so one doesn't have to make them. The above site is a CD showing the plans. I'm thinking about buying a CD myself.

Yes I have seen this. When I ordered mine, it was not on e-bay, but he sent me the downloads via e-mail then I made a CD as well as saved them on my computer and a thumb drive. My husband has not had a chance to make them yet, but promises me he will. I told a friend about them and she ordered them as well. Maybe her hubby will convince mine to hurry and get them done.

Wow. I wish I was still married to my ex what's-his-name. He could have built one in a day with the directions.
None of my SILs own (or know how to use) a drill or saw. :D
Too bad.

I asked my father if he could make me one and he didn't think he had the right tools to do it :(

I know there are people out there that have made them and been happy with the results.

Gee this guy lives in the next town to us. Maybe I won't sell my PC Quilter after all.

I had ordered it before he had it on a CD and my puter crashed so I lost mine, can't afford to get another copy right now, maybe later on down the road

Oh boy oh boy am I interested in THIS! My DH would absolutely make it and with a little rearranging of things in the spare room I could make it fit.

I can't wait to read if anyone posts that they have made it.

I ordered all the little parts today that I don't have equipment to make. Thanks to an angel I was sent the files for the frame so I can make it. Thank you angel.

My brother-in-law built a beautiful hand quilting frame for my mother from a pattern and kit from Hinterberg. Sure wish it had been for a machine quilter. Mother doesn't quilt anymore. Maybe I should switch to hand quilting.

Drills and saws are easy (we use deadly rotary cutters, right?) but you can always cheat and get the wood cut to size at Home Depot, Lowes or whatever is nearby. Keep the scraps for practicing drilling; it is easy as long as you remember to center your body with the drill and go straight through! Practice a bit and you'll be fine. Both drills and saws come with instructions and scrap wood is always available to practice.... YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

I know someone who has this and loves it. Easy to do

I was very curious because my husband is looking for instructions how to built a frame but the ebay site has been blocked and we can't see it anymore. Too bad....Is there anybody who remembers a name or something?

Norene B 09-11-2010 11:25 AM

It is still there as I just went and bought the ball bearings.
rzsdad is the seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/Machine-Quilting...item4aa3cb0154

Item number is: 320575570260

Can do a search on his name or item number I would think.

pinot 09-11-2010 11:44 AM

tried again but it says: unfortunately acces to this particular item has been blocked due to legal restrictions in some countries. I suppose it's because I'm in France.....
Thank you for your help and I will try again on name and nmbr.
