Wow, this is a great quilt, looks difficult but is easy peasy to make.

Take a look at all the photos, 4 pages worth, and you will be inspired to make one too. Several show the fabrics they started with, showing the amazing results when completed.

What I love about this: it is easy, fabrics don't have to coordinate or match in any way so I get to use those fabrics in my stash that I bought cuz they 'called my name' with no idea what project I would use them in.

If you have made a quilt like this please let us know and post photos please.

I have made one of these before. A couple years ago. We used it as a mystery quilt. I made a wall hanging size. However when I got my new sewing machine I used it to "practice" all the new fancy stitches and did not take too much care in how well it quilted. I still have it but it is used to cover things.

Haven't thought about this quilt pattern fo years! It was the 1st internet pattern I ever did. A fun quilt to make. ( I hate to tell you that it is not yet quilted  ) My quilting buddy made a small lap size using jewel tone fabrics. I turned out beautiful. She calls it Hidden Jewels.

Thank you for the link. I have some older fabrics give to me by my DH's aunt before she moved from her home...I just have to get at them...I have lots of ideas racing through my head, and this pattern would easily take care of those fabrics.

Thank you for both the links.
Some of the pictures in the first link gave some clues as to construction, but when you posted the instructions! WONDERFUL!
I just so appreciate all the creative brains who design these projects, and then the helpful souls who research for links and provide them to those of us who benefit immensely from your time and effort.
Thank you!<wave>

I taught this pattern as a mystery quilt. Everyone used completely different fabrics and they all turned out great!
