I used this pattern on a 'quilt of valor' for the veteran's home. I had a very difficult time because I thought I would experiment with it. If you are going to do this one, be sure to measure everything and get the measurements correct. Also, use the same order for sewing your strips together. If you don't it will still look nice but it won't be as pretty. I still quilted it and wish I had taken a picture, but I was rushed to turn it in so missed the picture part of the job. LOL

Book marked this for my strips.
Thank you again. |
Thanks for posting this, it's so neat the way a second design pops out!

Thank you, and God bless.

I know this is not a new thread, but I'm wondering what happens if one makes this scrappy? I'm thinking B&W with green for the bright. I don't have enough of any one fabric to make it all the same. If I keep the greens consistently the same size and in the same position, would it work, do you think?

Thanks for sharing. Another on my to do list.

I made a quilt for a veteran with this pattern and strips. I sewed the strips in sets of differing order. I was okay with the result, but plan to do this one again without changing the order of the strips as I sew them together. I think it will look better not so scrappy. Good pattern
