Simple but brilliant!

I don't think you would have to dig out, or go buy a tracing wheel. A butter knife (smooth side) would work the same way. Bone folder, the list is pretty much endless. But i'm sure gonna try this one. Thanks for sharing with us.

Anyone know where I can get a non serrated tracing wheel????
I am in the UK but if I knew what make did them I could find them here.

Thanks Becks

I was just thinking that the Clover hera marker would work well.

A nice tip, and a great improvisation for those of us with bumpy tracing wheels. You guys are the best! Can't wait to try this!

You're right, I tried it with my serrated tracing wheel and it worked great - such a simple thing but it sure is a help.

It's been a long time since I used my tracing wheel for anything - will have to dig it out. I learned something new and found a new use for an old tool. Thanks!

A new use for the Hera Marker! I bought a Hera marker several years ago at one of JoAnn's "Notions Wall" sales and it sat in my tool drawer for a long time before I dug it out a while back to mark some straight quilting lines. Now I wonder what took me so long to start using this gem.
