How to make Mirrored Half Rectangle Triangles of Any Size
Just found this tutorial by Slightly Biased Quilts to Make Mirrored Half Rectangle Triangles of Any Size. Haven't tried it yet, but it seems clear and useful. https://slightlybiasedquilts.com/202...-any-size.html

Thanks. So far, I've never tried to make a HRT, but now I known where to find out how to make one, maybe I will!

I would draw out what I wanted on graph paper and make plastic templates for whatever size I needed.
I only watched part of the video, but the method seems more complicated than it needs to be. |
I saw the same link on FB this morning. It does give clear directions and you never know when your next quilting adventure will require this block skill. I book marked it and saved for the future. :) Thanks for the link SueZQ.

I have been making HRTs for a project I'm working on and it has been a journey. I actually developed this technique on my own to make the HRTs. It works very well and much easier than any other technique I've found.

Seems like an awful waste of fabric to me. At the cost of quilt shop prices ($14/yd) at the shop close to me I wouldn’t do this method.

Looks like your outside edges are not on the straight of grain once you slice your square down to a rectangle.
