I think I would only do this if I had an extra FMQ foot. I have the same exact one shown in the video, I would be afraid of ruining it. I think I might have to purchase a new one and do this with the older one.

Gosh! I can't imagine "destroying" a probably expensive foot!

They're only $7.50 on Leah's site..and I've seen them on e-bay for right around that price, too!

I accidently broke my metal piece . So was excited to see this video awhile ago. I have a hard time with the hair binder keeping the spring down. It doesn't bounce anymore but sometimes the foot is too close to the quilt and I can't move my quilt around

Get an alligator clip...it works great! Go to any hardware store and ask..or an automotive store..they are very cheap

Thank you, I watched several of her videos, and I will be watching more. I had never heard of her before you posted, so, again, thank you.

I have learned so much from Leah. When I start getting crazy with my FMQ (which is most of the time) I review her videos & she gives me confidence to tackle it again.

An alligator clip is a tiny little clip that has a tapered front that looks like an alligators face, they are small but strong, and I clip it on top of the foot instead of using the hair tie thing...
