She http://lynbrown.com/ has a great blog, don't forget to check out the 'block of the week' and other patterns as well.

But what I'm posting about is this
http://lynbrown.com/?p=721
or direct to the pattern
http://lynbrown.com/wp-content/uploa...-and-shout.pdf

Isn't it clever?

She: http://ros-the-quilter.blogspot.com/...out-quilt.html

made a variation with a tutorial as well.

I'm definitively gonna try that!

That's really neat! Must be much easier than all those triangles!

We did a quilt almost exactly like this one in a charity quilt group from one of my quilt guilds - except we used all smaller squares instead of adding the larger ones. Just couldn't believe how it worked out. I really like this version though because it makes its own border and looks fantastic.

It's going into my bag of tricks as I've become the "leader" of a charity group in my other quilt guild (I belong to 2) and am always on the lookout for easy-to-sew but looks-great quilt patterns. And I will be sure to pass along Lyn's pattern to the first charity quilt leader where i first learned about thisn really cool design.

Thanks so much, fabric lover, for ths link.

What won't they think of next? What a wonderful idea and you can bet I snagged this one for my notebook. Goodbye ink, hello innovation. Thanks for sharing this one, it's a real winner.

Thank you, that is very neat!

It's looks great :-). I do see that the tips of some of the squares are cut off at the borders. That takes place because the cutting of the original top does not take seam allowances for the on-poing top into consideration. Still it is rather striking and a novel method.

Thanks for sharing; I will try this!
