I've been doing this for years. I saw the laser in DH's shop and thought Oh Boy it's perfect. I claimed it. Not as simple as it looks though. If quilt is almost square to begin with it works great. If it is off a lot then you may lose a lot of border or have to cut a block and then it looks wonky.

It looks like a nice way to square up if I owned a laser square. Since I don’t, I will just continue on using my rulers and big square ruler in the corners.

I simple use a metal carpenters square from Harbor Freight.....hasn't been out of square yet!!

the Bosh ones are very expensive...$50 and up....amazon has one for $12.
