HSN Today's Special on Tuesday, Nov. 5th is a Singer Sewing/Embroidery Machine.

For those who might be interested, HSN will be featuring the new Singer Futura Quintet sewing & embroidery machine as the Today's Special on Tuesday, November 5th. No information yet on possible price and/or easy pay options. I will post again if I hear anything.

I'm starting this post NOT to start a debate about new Singers, just giving information to those who might not be able to afford such a machine without the easy pay feature. :) I personally have bought several machines from HSN because of that.

If you want to take a gander at what the machine looks like:

I bought my Singer Quantum 9240 from HSN on the payment plan before it was in the shops. This has been years ago. It is a great machine and I have not had any problems with it. I bought it for the decorative stitching as I was not quilting then. The Quantum sews and performs like my Bernina 1260. It's heavy as it has metal frame and gears. My Quantum makes a straighter stitch then all my machines. I don't know about the newer Singer machines but with HSN you can test it out for 30 days and return it for a full refund.

I like to watch the sewing shows on HSN, it's like a mini sewing class.

I agree with BellaBoo - it is fun to watch the shows. I have them set to record. My husband thinks I'm crazy but it's fun, so that's okay.

Didn't know they had sewing shows. Guess I'll have to check into that.

Yes, my DVR is set and ready to record all of the shows tomorrow while I'm at work! I just enjoy watching them, even if I'm not buying. I always seem to pick up a tip or two. :)

What day and time should I set my DVR for?

Thank you for posting this - I'm looking for an embroidery machine and can't afford to pay all of it at once. I have 4 Singer FW's and hoping this is a good machine. Will be looking for the show on HSN today.

So, has anyone watched yet? What do you think about this machine?

I used to sell the new Singers, they're not all they're cracked up to be. They can be very cranky and they give error messages that the operator has to figure out.
