She starts out making fun of the room and all the stuff, but she kept finding things she could use. She's on her way to the 'dark side' with the rest of us!!!

Thank you so much for posting this!!! Awesome timing, too. I decided to move my machine today----which led to several other things moving and second thoughts about placement LOL You get where this is going.
I'm thinking the silverberry sewing room layout is similar to mine but I have open sides on both ends of my L. Maybe a new honey please do list is in order....keep in mind I only saw 2 other sewing rooms before this little idea hatched. I'll be combing through them in no time for a makeover.

retrogirl....I sure hope you have taken pics...even in midstream of this project. Then the after too. We'd all love to see it too. We all have our piles...even some hiding in drawers and baskets...and, we are all human in our sewing rooms:))But, w/it all...we have learned much by always looking at ideas and inspirations of others. I so dream of having a redo in my sewing room..:))I keep waiting for the 'design team' to show up:0)And, they haven't:))LOL Keep us posted..Skeat......who watched one of the videos where the gal went out of town and her friends showed up and redid her sewing room...what a great group of friends!! Even her husband was in on it...brought tears to my eyes for her!!:))If you haven't seen it, go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFvY50TSD00

Aggi...isn't that awesome!! I really like!!:))One sewing room I viewed in a magazine was very similar to that one only each end was huge windows w/a window seat under them...to let all the light in. I thought 'how cool'!! Can you imagine being snowed in, house is clean, phone is out of service, and all you had to do was sew-sew-sew while it all softly fell outside?!!:0)LOL Everything for me is based on how it would look when it is cold and snowing outside:))I keep telling dh we need to add a room off our master bedroom so all I had to do was roll out and go right there:))He sees no humor in it and also thinks it won't look good on the outside in proportion to the house...I say-who cares!:))Skeat

Look at this mess, how does she find her supplies!
Wow!

That Youtube video gave me shudders. I had to clean out my Great Aunt's house after she died and many rooms in her house looked liked this. After a week of trying to sort, I called a company to come haul out and dump the stuff. I was so angry at my aunt for leaving that mess for me to deal with. Why would anyone want a mess like that in their house?
